The Bay Head School Student Council have an opportunity for Bay Head School to receive a Verizon funded STEM grant that would further enhance students learning experiences using technology. The grant is being awarded to schools over the next five years, with a goal to reach over five million students nationwide by 2023. Nominations are written via twitter, as well as, hand-written and sent to Verizon. Please click on this link for additional information.
Residents of Bay Head are eligible for a reduced electricity rate through our Community Energy Aggregation program. If you are a new resident or have previously opted out, you can still join and receive the benefit of the lower rate. Click on the tab above to learn more.
If you wish to report a concern to a municipal official, you can now do so electronically using the Borough’s website. Just click on the Report a Concern link located in the upper right corner of the Home page, follow the step by step instructions, and your concern will be electronically forwarded to the appropriate municipal official.
CHANGE IN GARBAGE COLLECTION
As of April 1, 2018 the north side of Bridge Avenue will be picked up Tuesday and Friday until October 1st. The south side of Bridge Avenue will continue with Monday and Thursday.
Help Wanted - Seasonal Laborers
The Borough of Bay Head is seeking Seasonal Laborers to work in the Department of Public Works. Weekend hours will be required. Applications are available at the Municipal Clerk’s Office, 83 Bridge Avenue, Bay Head, NJ 08742 or on the Borough’s website.

As the cold weather continues, financial assistance programs are available for Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) customers who need help with winter heating bills. Assistance to qualifying JCP&L customers is available through the Lifeline, Universal Service Fund (USF), Weatherization, Payment Assistance for Gas and Electric (PAGE) and New Jersey SHARES programs.
New for Tax Year 2017. You are eligible for a $3,000 exemption on your Income Tax return if you are a military veteran who was honorably discharged or released under honorable circumstances from active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States by the last day of the tax year.
NJ Board of Public Utilities' Clean Energy Program. Receive tax-free money to make energy related improvements for NJ residents, businesses and government.
A new program designed for those NJ residents who suspect their loved ones are being abused, mistreated or neglected.
Environmental Commission Seeking New Members
Bay Head Environmental Commission (BHEC) is seeking volunteers to join the Commission. The BHEC meets in the second floor Council Meeting Room in Borough Hall once per month on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30PM.
